Parade Update

I now have information about the 4th of July Parade:

2009 Limestone Heritage Festival Parade
Saturday, July 4th with flyover at 11:00 am

--We are Unit #6!!!!! (Yippee!!!)
--The parade line-up begins on the corner of 15th Street and M Street.
--Be there by 10:45 am.
--We will be a walking unit only!
--Wear red/white/blue.
--Make signs to carry.
--Invite your family and friends!
--Invite more family and friends!!

It is our honor and our duty to show our Support For Our Troops! We do this in many ways, but a very public way to show our support and share information about our organization is through our participation in the 4th of July Parade. Take an hour out of your busy 4th of July activities and participate, along with your all your family and friends, in this community show of support for our service members! Begin a family tradition--walk in the parade, cook out, play ladder golf and corn hole, participate in other LHF activities, watch fireworks, and never, ever forget it is because of our troops, past and present, that we have this opportunity to celebrate, and show our pride and appreciation!

**PLEASE plan to be there!!**
**WE NEED YOU!!!!!**

Updates

Happy Flag Day!!! I hope you all remembered to fly your flags high and proud! Did you know that Flag Day commemorates the day in 1777 when the United States adopted the red, white and blue flag of our country? The first Flag Day was proposed on June 14, 1861, in Hartford, Conn. A man named George Morris is credited with the idea. Pres. Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation declaring "Flag Day" in 1916. (I got that info from the Sunday comics!)

Reminders--Our weekly walk this week is scheduled for Monday at 7 pm at Greenhill Cemetery. Each week we will have a different location to meet for our walk. I hope you get a chance to join us! We also do a lot of talking--it's great therapy!!

"Relay For Life" is June 19th and 20th. Contact Kim Johnson at kimberly1055@sbcglobal.net for more information!

Hello,
I have it set up where we can have our bake sale, next week, Friday the 12th, and Saturday the 13th at K-mart. I thought we should start at 10:00, and stay till it slows down, or we sell out.
