Ride Meeting

We will be having another meeting for our ride event this Saturday, August 28th at 10:00am. Please plan to attend this meeting if possible. We need volunteers for food at the event. I have Starbucks donating coffee, I will have donuts there, Harley Davidson will be serving hot dogs and chips and giving prizes. We would like to have chili for the event after the ride. We need volunteers to make chili, and maybe a veggie soup. We also need people to make cookies, and bring crackers. We have a lot of donations for prizes. I have been told by the Indianapolis Colts, we will be getting an autographed 8X10 of Joseph Addai. I just found out a few minutes ago. The oldies channel will be there to play music and make announcements.

This ride is to raise money and awareness for HHAFFA. This ride is going to be police escorted if possible. We will have a minister there to bless the bikes. There will be NO alcohol allowed at or during this event. I know some people associate a motorcycle ride event with bars. this is NOT that kind of ride. Everyone is invited, whether you ride or not. Registration starts at 9:00am. We will depart at 11:00 am.On Saturday, September 25th 2010. With a rain date set for October 9th 2010.The event location is at the Thornton park pavilion. We will take a ride through the country, head up to Bloomington, then back to the park for food and prizes.

James and Brandy Howell will be there with a table set up for Angels of Gabriel Michael. Howell. We really need people to help us with this great event. I'm asking for volunteer's to PLEASE HELP US!

We also have our entry in for the Oolitic parade. I have not received our number yet, but I will let everyone know as soon as I receive it. As you know the parade is on 09/11/2010. We were asked to please get all the vets we can to march with us. Please join in and march in the parade to show your support.

Ride Meeting

We will be having another meeting about our ride event on Saturday, August 21st at 9:00am in the HHAFFA office,located at 620 H Street. Parking in back.
I would like as many people to show up as possible. We will need as many volunteers for this event. We will need people to make deserts, cookies, and help with the food table. If you can help in anyway, PLEASE be at this meeting. This upcoming event is very important. If you want to volunteer, but can't attend the meeting, please send me an email.


We can still use donations for care packages. I have sent out many care packages in the past few months, and have more to send. We could use paper, pencils, and powdered, individual drink mix. Also peanuts, and little Debbie snack cakes. If anyone can donate, please let me know, and someone can come and pick up any donations.

We will be ordering new HHAFFA "Support Our Troops" shirts very soon. Anyone who would like one, please let me know how many, and what size you would like.

I would like to remind you about the dinner at the Cloverleaf restaurant, the second Friday of every month. The next one is Friday, August 13Th at 6:00pm.

We will also be having a ride meeting on Saturday, August 14Th in the HHAFFA office at 9:00am. Please plan to attend.

We will be marching in the Oolitic Parade. I have been asked by the parade committee if I could get as many vets as possible to attend. I need your help. Because of the date of the parade, I feel it is very important as many as possible show up and show their support. on 9/11.
