HHAFFA Hoofer's Relay for Life

Just a reminder. We will be having a Relay for Life meeting on Tuesday, April 20TH @ 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the Thorton Park pavilion. Please come and join. We will be doing sign ups, and discussing events for our Relay team, the HHAFFA Hoofers.

Just wanted to pass along thanks to all who participated in the packing party on Saturday. There were 16 volunteers there and we packed 32 boxes for 16 soldiers. That would be 2 boxes each by my math. A great big thanks to Denise Sparks and her Girls Scouts for the cookies. Also thanks to JKI Engineering and their employees for the donation of cookies.Thanks to Nancy for organizing the party.

Girl Scout Cookies Packing Party!!

Who: HHAFFA members
What: GS cookies packing party
When: Saturday, April 17 @ 9 am
Where: HHAFFA Office (tentative! Check your email throughout the week for change of location!)
Why: donated Girl Scout cookies (Thanks, Denise Sproles!!) abound in the HHAFFA office (and we love our troops!)


BUT I need your help! We can fit 6 boxes of GS cookies in each box, a paperback book and have a little extra space. Please bring hard candy and gum to put in Ziploc bags to fill in the "little extra space"!

PLUS: We now have only six (6) names of currently deployed troops! Please send us your loved ones current deployed address (whether you think we have it or not!) to make sure he/she receives a box!!

Relay for Life

We just wanted to let everyone know there will be a meeting to discuss this years Relay for Life.We will have a sign up sheet for those of you who wish to come out and walk. We will need someone there for the entire Relay.We are planning a Bake Sale and will also have a sign up sheet for anyone who is willing to help bake for the sale. Please come out and support this important cause.

We don't remember days, We remember moments.

#2 The monthly dinner meeting is canceled for April because too many of the regulars are committed to other activities. But in May, plan to meet at Cloverleaf Restaurant on the second Friday for an evening with other people who have relatives in the military. Look for Tom Boscher or ask the hostess for the HHAFFA table.
