Christmas Parade

Just a reminder to all that are willing to work on the Christmas Parade that next Friday and Saturday will be the decorating party. We will be using the Sallade trailer again this year. In keeping with the toyland Christmas theme we are going to decorate the trailer like a toy box with toy soldiers inside. We need people to dress up like toy soldiers and we need help decorating. We will decorate on Friday evening and Saturday morning at Limestone Automotive at 14th & H street next to the UAW Hall and Company Concourse. We will need a generator to provide power for the lights and sound. We will also need people to walk in the parade with the flags. We have purchased a second set of flags to put in the back of the truck and we will need to get them put together before the parade. We have a lot of work to do before the parade and the more help we have the better it will go. It would be great for HHAFFA to have a large turnout in honor of Grand Marshalls Betsy and Joe. If you have decorating ideas please pass them along to us and then show up to make your ideas a reality.

Thanks,Larry

Newsletter

I wanted to remind everyone about our quarterly meeting tonight. The meeting will be at the HHAFFA office located at 620 H Street in the old Madden school building. Please park and enter behind building. The meeting is at 6:00PM to 7:00PM.

We will be having our monthly dinner this coming Friday, 11/12/10 at the Wildflower on R Street at 6:00PM. They have a room opposite from their main dining room. We'll be in that room. When you enter, go to the left. We hope to see you there.

We would like to thank everyone who has gave and collected donations for the Christmas packing party. We are still collecting donations for the packages. We have three drop off locations, if anyone would like to drop off items, they can do so at Pat's Pets, on John Williams Blvd. Next to Sears.Limestone Capital Automotive, 1403 H Street, and at the East gate Business & Technology Center at 3100 16TH Street (across from Starbucks).

All your help is very much appreciated! We also have T-Shirts available if anyone is interested, they are only 10.00 each. We don't have many of the smaller sizes left.

Hope to see you at the meeting tonight, and at the dinner on Friday!

GOD BLESS ALL OUR TROOPS & FAMILIES!!!
