Weekly Updates

Another beautiful weekend! We have been blessed with rain, and we have also been blessed with beautiful days like today! I hope you had the opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! Too soon, we will be complaining about the heat and humidity!!!

Reminders:--Our weekly walk is scheduled for Mondays at 6 pm. We meet at the Thornton Park Pavilion and walk approximately 3 miles (more or less--whatever you feel like doing!). We also do a lot of talking, socializing and catching up! This is a wonderful opportunity to share your concerns and news with other mothers and family members of military personnel.

--Kim Johnson wants me to remind everyone that "Relay For Life" is fast approaching. She would like "HHAFFA Hoofers" to join her every Monday at the weekly walk to discuss planned activities for the event! Contact Kim at kimberly1055@sbcglobal.net if you have any questions!

--QUARTERLY MEETING!!! It is important for anyone and everyone who is interested in the future of HHAFFA to attend our quarterly meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 9th at the HHAFFA office (620 H St)--that's TUESDAY, JUNE 9th at 6 pm at 620 H St. Park in the back, come in the back door, first room on the right! Bring yourself, your friends and family, and your ideas of where you would like to see HHAFFA in the future and where HHAFFA can help now! We need people to volunteer and participate in our activities in order for HHAFFA to survive!!! -

-Some upcoming activities include: the Candlelight Ceremony (to honor those serving in our military) and the Fourth of July Parade (where we will have a float and walkers)!!! We will discuss these activities (and others) at the Quarterly Meeting (Did I mention it will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at 6 pm in the HHAFFA office--620 H St??).
